About Bikwale
Bikwale answers the two questions every Indian two-wheeler buyer asks first: kitne ka hai, and kitna deta hai. We publish ex-showroom and estimated on-road prices, claimed and real-world mileage, and reviews written from riding the bikes, for the 174 models Indians actually buy.
We are independent. No manufacturer, dealer group or lender owns any part of the site or sees a review before it is published. Where we earn money, we say so below and on the page where it happens.
How we review and score
Every bike gets five scores out of ten: performance, comfort, efficiency, features and value. They are editorial judgements made after riding the bike and pricing it against its direct rivals, not user votes and not an average of the spec sheet. The overall score is a separate judgement, so a bike can score modestly on four counts and still be an easy recommendation if it nails the one thing its buyers want.
Specifications come from the manufacturer's official Indian model page, which is linked from every review. Prices are ex-showroom Delhi, taken from manufacturer listings and re-checked monthly; the date is shown on every page. On-road figures are estimates built from published state road-tax schedules, IRDAI third-party premiums and typical registration charges. Real-world mileage and range bands combine our own riding with owner reports; we say which where it matters.
When a manufacturer changes a price or a spec, we update the data and the generated text updates with it. When our opinion changes after longer time with a bike, we revise the review and update the date.
How the site makes money
Three ways, all disclosed on the page. Advertising, in clearly marked slots that never sit inside review text. Dealer enquiries: if you ask for an on-road quote and buy from the dealer who calls you, the dealer may pay us a fee. Finance and insurance referrals, if you use a partner link from an EMI or insurance section. None of these affect which bikes we recommend or the scores we give; the people who write reviews do not see revenue by model.
