Yamaha EC 06 specifications and features
Every figure from the manufacturer's sheet, plus what each feature actually does for you.
Motor, battery and charging
The EC 06's 6.7 kW motor is the 10rd most powerful among the 21 electric scooters here and takes it to a top speed of 79 km/h, which limits it to city use.
A full charge from a home socket takes about 10 hours. The battery is fixed, so you need a plug where the scooter parks.

Dimensions in practice
The EC 06 weighs 132 kg with fluids, 145 mm of ground clearance, and rides on a 1354 mm wheelbase. Clearance is on the low side; take tall speed breakers at an angle with a pillion.
Tyres are 110/80-14 front and 120/70-14 rear, tubeless.
Features, and why each matters
Grouped by what they do for you. Underlined items link to a plain-English explainer.
Safety and braking
Links the rear brake lever to the front so a rear-only stamp still slows you properly.
Front disc brake
Sheds heat and works when wet. Worth the small premium over a drum on any commuter.
Rear disc brake
Adds feel and fade resistance at the back; matters more on heavier or faster bikes.
Tubeless tyres
A puncture deflates slowly instead of instantly, and roadside repair takes ten minutes.
Chassis
Alloy wheels
Lighter than spoked wheels and they allow tubeless tyres.
Lighting
LED headlamp
Brighter, whiter and lasts the life of the bike. Halogens on rivals look yellow by comparison.
LED daytime running lamp
Makes you visible to cars in daylight, when most two-wheeler collisions happen.
LED tail lamp
Lights up instantly, which gives the vehicle behind a fraction more warning.
Console and connectivity
Digital console
Trip meters, real-time mileage and a gear indicator. The analogue dial is disappearing.
Bluetooth connectivity
Call and message alerts on the console so the phone stays in your pocket.
Ride modes
An Eco map for mileage and a Power map for overtakes, switched from the bars.
Convenience
USB charging port
Charges the phone on a long commute. Check whether it is Type-A or Type-C.
Under-seat storage
Whether a full-face helmet fits is the question to ask at the showroom.
Electric
Reverse mode
Walks the scooter backwards out of a tight parking spot under motor power.
Cruise control
Holds a set speed on open roads. Mostly a highway feature.
Companion app
Charge status, location and ride stats on your phone.
Equipment against E Access and 450X
What it lacks: side-stand engine cut-off, hazard lamps, colour tft console and turn-by-turn navigation, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.
It is offered in 1 colours: Bluish White. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.
