On the road in Delhi the base Panigale V4 R comes to ₹95.09 Lakh: ₹84,99,000 ex-showroom, ₹7,29,920 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.6%), ₹1,94,886 for first-year insurance and ₹84,990 in tcs 1%. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

Panigale V4 R's claimed mileage is 12.5 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 12.5–14 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

The 998cc liquid-cooled engine makes 221 bhp and 111.3 Nm through a 6 Speed. With a kerb weight of 193.5 kg that is 1142 bhp per tonne, third best power-to-weight of the 135 bikes in this class we have reviewed.

Peak power is high relative to torque, so this engine rewards revs: it feels ordinary below the mid-range and comes alive above it.

Chassis hardware includes dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 330 mm, 4 piston caliper up front and disc, 245 mm, 2 piston caliper at the rear.

The 850 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

On safety kit the Panigale V4 R has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.

Against CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, M 1000 R or S1000RR, it gets dual-channel abs and slipper clutch that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: single-channel abs, usb charging port and usd front forks, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.

Ducati runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 15 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.

The Panigale V4 R launched in 2026, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
