Dimensions in practice
The RV400 weighs 108 kg with fluids, has an 814 mm seat, 215 mm of ground clearance, and rides on a 1350 mm wheelbase. That clearance is generous: speed breakers and broken roads will not trouble the underbody.
Tyres are 90/80-17 front and 120/80-17 rear, tubeless.

Safety and braking
Links the rear brake lever to the front so a rear-only stamp still slows you properly.
Front disc brake
Sheds heat and works when wet. Worth the small premium over a drum on any commuter.
Rear disc brake
Adds feel and fade resistance at the back; matters more on heavier or faster bikes.
Tubeless tyres
A puncture deflates slowly instead of instantly, and roadside repair takes ten minutes.
Side-stand engine cut-off
Engine will not run with the stand down, which prevents a common low-speed crash.
Hazard lamps
All four indicators flash; useful in fog and when stopped on a highway shoulder.

LED tail lamp
Lights up instantly, which gives the vehicle behind a fraction more warning.

Engine kill switch
Switch the engine off from the right bar without reaching for the key.
Electric
Carry the pack upstairs to charge. Solves the no-plug-at-parking problem.
Recovers a little charge when slowing and saves brake pads.
Reverse mode
Walks the scooter backwards out of a tight parking spot under motor power.
Cruise control
Holds a set speed on open roads. Mostly a highway feature.

- How long does the RV400 take to charge?
- About 4.5 hours for a full charge from a home socket.
- Is the RV400 suitable for short riders?
- It is on the tall side at 814 mm. Riders under 5'6" may be on tiptoe at stops and should try it before buying.
- Does the RV400 have ABS?
- No. It uses a combi-brake system (CBS), which is what the rules require under 125cc. There is no ABS variant.
