Verdict
The 390 Enduro R is KTM's most rally-focused machine in the 390 range, sharing the familiar 398.63cc engine tuned to 45.37bhp with fully adjustable WP suspension and 253mm ground clearance, priced from ₹3,39,269. It is built specifically for off-road and enduro riding.
Riding it every day
At 177kg, it is the lightest of KTM's 390 Adventure-family bikes, which makes a real difference standing on the pegs over rough trails and technical terrain. The fully adjustable WP suspension and dual-channel ABS with an off-road mode give genuine confidence on loose surfaces, while the 860mm seat height suits standing riding more than seated commuting. In daily traffic, the firm off-road suspension and tall seat make it less relaxed than KTM's road-biased 390 variants.
What to know before buying
The 9-litre fuel tank is noticeably smaller than the rest of the 390 range, so expect more frequent fuel stops, something to plan around if you are touring rather than doing weekend trail loops close to home. KTM has not published a claimed mileage figure, but expect efficiency in a similar range to other 398cc KTM singles. The tall seat height is worth testing in person if you are on the shorter side, and off-road-specific parts availability is worth confirming with your dealer.
Who should buy it
Riders who want a genuine enduro-capable machine rather than an adventure bike that merely looks rugged, and who can work around the small tank, will find the 390 Enduro R the most capable off-road 390 KTM sells.

On safety kit the 390 Enduro R has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.
What it lacks: tubeless tyres and alloy wheels, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.
It is offered in 1 colours: Orange. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.
Warranty, service and ownership
Standard warranty is 2 years, unlimited km.
KTM runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 500 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.
The 390 Enduro R launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
