The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade is not really a road bike that happens to be fast; it is a track bike that is technically road-legal. At ₹33,50,000 and 214.56 bhp, it exists to deliver track-day thrills and race-derived technology to a very small number of Indian riders who know exactly why they want one. Judged as daily transport it makes little sense, and it is not meant to.
Riding it every day
In practice, few owners will use this bike daily, and for good reason. The 115 mm ground clearance means speed breakers demand real caution, and the 830 mm seat height paired with an aggressive, track-oriented riding position turns city traffic into hard work. Where it shines is on open, well-surfaced roads or a track, where the semi-active Öhlins suspension and 214.56 bhp motor reveal what the bike was actually engineered for.
What to know before buying
There is no published mileage figure, and fuel economy is simply not part of the calculation at this end of the market; expect it to be poor by any normal two-wheeler standard. Servicing needs specialised Honda BigWing infrastructure, which is limited to a handful of Indian cities, so buyers outside those cities should factor in travel for maintenance. Insurance and running costs will also be substantial relative to any other bike in this lineup.
