On the road in Delhi the base Ninja ZX-6R comes to ₹14.34 Lakh: ₹12,49,000 ex-showroom, ₹1,04,000 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.3%), ₹48,150 for first-year insurance and ₹32,490 in logistic chgs. and tcs 1%. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

Ninja ZX-6R's claimed mileage is 22 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 20–23 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Among the 114 sports bikes we have reviewed it ranks 78th for mileage, 11 kmpl below the group average of 33 kmpl.

Power comes from a 636cc single producing 122.03 bhp and 69 Nm, paired with a 6 Speed. At 198 kg the power-to-weight figure is 616 bhp per tonne, which ranks 23 of 135 in its class here.

Peak power is high relative to torque, so this engine rewards revs: it feels ordinary below the mid-range and comes alive above it.

Chassis hardware includes USD front forks, a rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 310 mm, 4 piston caliper up front and disc, 220 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.

The 830 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

On safety kit the Ninja ZX-6R has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.

Against Daytona 660, Ninja 500 or Ninja 650, it gets usd front forks, projector headlamp, turn-by-turn navigation and ride modes that most rivals skip.

Service reach is the weak point: Kawasaki has about 60 dealer and workshop touchpoints across the country. Confirm there is one within reach before you sign.

The Ninja ZX-6R launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
