Riding it every day
The power difference from the standard 12.2bhp FZ variants is small and unlikely to be noticed in daily riding, whether commuting through city traffic or cruising on the highway. Claimed 50kmpl efficiency held up at 47-52kmpl in real-world use, though ethanol-blended fuel availability and quality can vary meaningfully by city and even by petrol pump, worth checking locally before relying on the flex-fuel capability. The projector LED headlamp is a nice touch not found on all FZ variants at this price.
What to know before buying
Only one colour, Metallic Black, is offered, and there's no Bluetooth or TFT display, keeping the feature set basic. At a price close to the FZS V4, which offers traction control and a wider colour range, the Blue Flex's main selling point is really the flex-fuel angle rather than value. Yamaha's regular service network applies to this model as with any other FZ.
