Certified vs real range

The Evoqis is rated at 90 km (certified IDC range). Treat that as a ceiling: real-world figures are usually 15–25% lower.

Among the 21 electric bikes we have reviewed it ranks last for range, 81 km below the group average of 171 km.

Charging at home in Delhi at about ₹7.5/unit, a 4.32 kWh pack costs roughly ₹36 to fill and works out to about ₹0.40 per km. Riding 30 km a day, that is around ₹309 a month, a fraction of what a petrol scooter costs to run.

Why the gap exists: electric scooter range explained.

Spread over five years and 46,800 km, the Evoqis works out to about ₹3.4 per km all-in, of which 12% is electricity and 78% is the purchase price itself. Resale value is not counted; expect roughly 50–60% of ex-showroom after five years for a well-kept example.

Getting the most range

Riding mode decides range on the Evoqis more than anything else. The fastest mode can cost a third of the pack against Eco, and holding 60 km/h or more drains it quickly because air resistance grows with the square of speed.

Regenerative braking helps most in stop-start traffic, so leave it on its strongest setting for the commute; it earns back a few kilometres a day and saves the brake pads.

A full charge takes about 6 hours from a home socket, so a nightly top-up covers a normal day; charge to 80% for daily use and only fill to 100% before a long ride, which slows battery ageing.

Cold mornings, a heavy pillion and under-inflated tyres each trim range. Budget for roughly 70% of the certified figure until you have measured your own.

Evoqis range: questions people ask

What is the real range of the Evoqis?
The certified range is 90 km. Expect 65–75% of that in everyday riding.
How much does the Evoqis cost to run per month?
Charging works out to about ₹0.40 per km in Delhi, so a 30 km daily commute costs roughly ₹309 a month before servicing.
How long does the Evoqis take to charge?
About 6 hours for a full charge from a home socket.
Is 90 km of range enough for a daily commute on the Evoqis?
It should cover a round trip of 30-40 km comfortably on paper, but expect that to shrink in stop-start traffic or hot weather, so a daily commute near the upper end of that range leaves little buffer.
