The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel exists to be the cheapest way to own a new Hero motorcycle, and at ₹69,812 it succeeds. It shares its 97.2cc, 8.44 bhp flex-fuel engine with the pricier Splendor Plus Flex Fuel, but strips away almost every feature that isn't essential, down to offering just one colour.
Riding it every day
Performance is modest, as expected from an 8.44 bhp engine, but the bike is light at 112.5 kg and easy to filter through traffic on. The 4-speed gearbox is simple to use and the engine feels unstressed at typical city speeds. Claimed mileage of 65 kmpl is believable given the light weight, and real-world figures typically sit in the 60-68 kmpl range depending on load and traffic. The 805 mm seat height is on the taller side for this segment, which some shorter riders may notice.
What to know before buying
