Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX

There is only one Ninja 1100SX to buy, priced at ₹14,42,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. The only decisions left are colour and whether to finance it.

That makes it priced 110th lowest among the 137 sports bikes we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the 890 Duke R (₹8,000 more) and the Monster (₹43,000 less).

On the road in Delhi the base Ninja 1100SX comes to ₹16.12 Lakh: ₹14,42,000 ex-showroom, ₹1,23,360 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.6%), ₹46,241 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

Ninja 1100SX's claimed mileage is 17.8 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 17.8–22 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Among the 114 sports bikes we have reviewed it ranks 98th for mileage, 16 kmpl below the group average of 33 kmpl.

Power comes from a 1099cc single producing 134.1 bhp and 113 Nm, paired with a 6 Speed. At 238 kg the power-to-weight figure is 563 bhp per tonne, which ranks 28 of 135 in its class here.

Peak power is high relative to torque, so this engine rewards revs: it feels ordinary below the mid-range and comes alive above it.

Chassis hardware includes USD front forks, dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 300 mm, 4 piston caliper up front and disc, 260 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.

The 820 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

On safety kit the Ninja 1100SX has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.

Against Panigale V2, Ninja ZX-6R or Ninja ZX-10R, it gets usb charging port that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: rear monoshock, projector headlamp and turn-by-turn navigation, which rivals at this price offer. None of these are deal-breakers, but they show where the money went.

Service reach is the weak point: Kawasaki has about 60 dealer and workshop touchpoints across the country. Confirm there is one within reach before you sign.

The Ninja 1100SX launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
