That makes it priced 18th lowest among the 29 adventure bikes we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Tiger 900 Alpine Edition (₹95,000 more) and the Transalp XL750 (₹1,20,000 less).

On the road in Delhi the base Tiger 900 comes to ₹17.3 Lakh: ₹14,40,000 ex-showroom, ₹1,26,200 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.8%), ₹66,693 for first-year insurance and ₹96,665 in rsa (road side assistance), logistic chgs., other charges and tcs 1%. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

The Tiger 900 is rated at 21.2 kmpl (claimed mileage). Treat that as a ceiling: real-world figures are usually 15–25% lower.

The 888cc liquid-cooled engine makes 106.5 bhp and 90 Nm through a 6 Speed. With a kerb weight of 219 kg that is 486 bhp per tonne, 6th best power-to-weight of the 29 bikes in this class we have reviewed.

Peak power is high relative to torque, so this engine rewards revs: it feels ordinary below the mid-range and comes alive above it.

Chassis hardware includes USD front forks, dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 320 mm, 4 piston caliper up front and disc, 255 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.

The 820 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

On safety kit the Tiger 900 has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.

Against F 900 GS Adventure, Transalp XL750 or F900 GS, it gets tubeless tyres and alloy wheels that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: rear monoshock, which rivals at this price offer. None of these are deal-breakers, but they show where the money went.

It is offered in 6 colours: Carnival Red / Sapphire Black, Snowdonia White / Sapphire Black, Graphite / Sapphire Black, Matt Khaki Green / Matt Phantom Black, Ash Grey / Intense Orange and Carbon Black / Sapphire Black. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.

Triumph runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 150 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.

The Tiger 900 launched in 2024, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
