The Daytona 660 comes in a single variant at ₹9,88,400 ex-showroom Delhi, so there is no trim ladder to climb: every Daytona 660 leaves the showroom with the same equipment.

That makes it priced 93th lowest among the 137 sports bikes we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the GSX-8R (₹151 more) and the Z900 (₹10,600 more).

On the road in Delhi the base Daytona 660 comes to ₹11.12 Lakh: ₹9,88,400 ex-showroom, ₹87,072 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.8%), ₹36,686 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

Daytona 660's claimed mileage is 20 kmpl. Owners and our own riding put the real figure between 17 and 19 kmpl, roughly 10% under the brochure number, which is typical once traffic, a pillion and short trips are factored in.

Among the 114 sports bikes we have reviewed it ranks 85th for mileage, 13 kmpl below the group average of 33 kmpl.

The 660cc liquid-cooled engine makes 93.87 bhp and 69 Nm through a 6 Speed. With a kerb weight of 201 kg that is 467 bhp per tonne, 39th best power-to-weight of the 135 bikes in this class we have reviewed.

Peak power is high relative to torque, so this engine rewards revs: it feels ordinary below the mid-range and comes alive above it.

Chassis hardware includes USD front forks, a rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 310 mm, 4 piston caliper up front and disc, 220 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.

The 810 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

On safety kit the Daytona 660 has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.

Against GSX-8R, Ninja ZX-6R or Ninja 650, it gets turn-by-turn navigation that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: projector headlamp, which rivals at this price offer. None of these are deal-breakers, but they show where the money went.

It is offered in 3 colours: Carnival Red / Sapphire Black, Satin Granite / Satin Jet Black and Snowdonia White / Sapphire Black. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.

Triumph runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 150 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.

The Daytona 660 launched in 2024, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
