Xpulse 210's claimed mileage is 37 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 34–38 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Engine and ride
The 210cc liquid-cooled engine makes 24.2 bhp and 20.7 Nm through a 6 Speed. With a kerb weight of 168 kg that is 144 bhp per tonne, 12th best power-to-weight of the 14 bikes in this class we have reviewed.
The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.
Chassis hardware includes a rear monoshock, single-channel ABS and a slipper clutch, with a disc, 276 mm up front and disc, 220 mm at the rear.
The 830 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

Verdict
The Xpulse 210 addresses the most common complaint about its predecessor by dropping in a liquid-cooled 210cc engine with 24.2bhp, a meaningful jump from the 200 4V's 18.9bhp. Priced from ₹1.67 lakh, it adds a slipper clutch and ride modes while somehow also improving claimed mileage to 37kmpl.
Riding it every day
The extra torque, 20.7Nm against the older bike's 17.35Nm, makes highway overtakes and two-up riding noticeably less strained. The 220mm ground clearance and long-travel suspension carry over, so it remains happy on broken roads and light trails, while the added ride modes let you soften throttle response for slippery or off-road conditions. Real-world mileage in the 34-38kmpl band is a genuine improvement over the outgoing engine.
What to know before buying
Despite the higher price and power, ABS remains single-channel rather than dual, worth noting if you ride in the wet often. At 168kg, it is also heavier than the 200 4V, so expect a bit more effort manhandling it on loose surfaces or picking it up after a low-speed tip-over.
Who should buy it
This suits riders who found the 200 4V underpowered for two-up touring or long highway stretches and want a genuine step up without leaving the Xpulse family. Buyers who mainly ride solo in the city, or who want dual-channel ABS as standard, should weigh the 200 4V or a rival like the V-Strom SX first.

Against Xpulse 200 4V, V-Strom SX or Apache RTX 300, it gets single-channel abs, slipper clutch, projector headlamp and ride modes that most rivals skip.
What it lacks: dual-channel abs, tubeless tyres and alloy wheels, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.
