Riding it every day
Without a fairing, wind blast is more noticeable at highway speeds than on the R15, but the more upright seating position is typically kinder to the wrists during city commutes and traffic jams. The 810mm seat height and 137kg kerb weight make it manageable for most riders navigating narrow lanes and parking spots. Real-world mileage around 43-48kmpl matches its faired sibling, so fuel costs stay similar despite the different body style.
What to know before buying
Yamaha's service centres handle the XSR 155 the same as other 155cc models, so parts and maintenance shouldn't be harder to source. The colour and feature list is narrower than the mainstream R15 range, and it skips Bluetooth despite the premium positioning, worth checking if connected features matter to you.
