Price and variants

The Aerox 155 is sold in 2 variants, from ₹1,46,264 for the Standard to ₹1,50,293 for the S, ex-showroom Delhi.
That makes it priced 25th lowest among the 26 petrol scooters we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Xoom 160 (₹3,216 less) and the ADV 160 (₹23,736 more).
On the road in Delhi, budget about ₹1.69 Lakh for the base variant once 8% Delhi road tax, registration and five-year third-party insurance are added. Dealers often quote higher by bundling accessories, extended warranty and handling charges; all three are negotiable.

|---|---|---|
Standard | ₹1,46,264 | |
S | ₹1,50,293 |
Mileage
Aerox 155's claimed mileage is 40 kmpl. Owners and our own riding put the real figure between 37 and 40 kmpl, roughly 4% under the brochure number, which is typical once traffic, a pillion and short trips are factored in.
Among the 25 scooters we have reviewed it ranks 24th for mileage, 9 kmpl below the group average of 49 kmpl.
Engine and ride
The 155cc liquid-cooled engine makes 14.75 bhp and 13.9 Nm through a CVT automatic. With a kerb weight of 126 kg that is 117 bhp per tonne, the best power-to-weight ratio of the 25 scooters in this class we have reviewed.
The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.
Chassis hardware includes single-channel ABS and traction control, with a disc, 230 mm, 1 piston caliper up front and drum, 130 mm at the rear.
At 790 mm the seat is average for the class; most riders from 5'5" up will be comfortable at stops.

Verdict
The Aerox 155 blends maxi-scooter styling with genuine performance, its 155cc, 14.75bhp engine and 115kmph claimed top speed making it one of the quicker scooters sold in India, starting at ₹1.46 lakh. It's built for riders who want scooter convenience without giving up outright pace.
Riding it every day
Traction control adds confidence when accelerating hard from a standstill, particularly useful on wet monsoon roads or loose city surfaces. The front disc brake with ABS handles most stops confidently, though the rear drum brake is a noticeable step down from rivals offering rear discs at similar prices. Claimed 40kmpl efficiency is on the lower side for a scooter, reflecting the extra performance on tap, and the 126kg kerb weight, heavier than most 125cc rivals, is felt when manoeuvring at parking speeds.
What to know before buying
Bluetooth connectivity and idle start-stop come standard, useful additions for daily commuting and short waits at signals. The 1350mm wheelbase and reasonably wide tyres help stability with a pillion at highway speeds, though the rear drum brake means leaving extra following distance is sensible. Yamaha's service network covers the Aerox 155 the same as its motorcycle range.
Who should buy it
Riders who want performance-oriented scooter styling and don't mind trading some efficiency and a rear disc brake for it will enjoy the Aerox 155. Buyers prioritising fuel economy above all else should consider rivals like the Suzuki Burgman Street instead.

On safety kit the Aerox 155 has single-channel abs, front disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. ABS acts on the front wheel only; the rear can still lock under a hard stamp.
Against Xoom 160, 450X or Ntorq 150, it gets traction control and external fuel filler that most rivals skip.
What it lacks: turn-by-turn navigation and colour tft console, which rivals at this price offer. None of these are deal-breakers, but they show where the money went.
It is offered in 3 colours: Metallic Black, Ice Fluo Vermillion and Racing Blue. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.
Warranty, service and ownership
Standard warranty is 2 years or 30,000 km. After the free services, the recommended interval is every 3,000 km.
Yamaha runs a sizeable sales and service network in India, at roughly 2,500 touchpoints. Spares and a mechanic who knows the model are rarely far away.
On sale since 2021, the Aerox 155 is established enough that early production issues have been worked through and used examples give a fair read on resale.
