FZ X Hybrid's claimed mileage is 51 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 47–53 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Engine and ride
Power comes from a 149cc single producing 12.2 bhp and 13.3 Nm, paired with a 5 Speed. At 141 kg the power-to-weight figure is 87 bhp per tonne, which ranks 69 of 73 in its class here.
The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.
Chassis hardware includes a rear monoshock, single-channel ABS and traction control, with a disc, 282 mm, 2 piston caliper up front and disc, 220 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.
The 810 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

Verdict
The FZ X Hybrid combines the FZ X's scrambler styling with the most complete feature set in the FZ range, including a colour TFT and turn-by-turn navigation, starting at ₹1.46 lakh. At that price it edges close to the XSR 155, so it's worth cross-shopping before committing.
Riding it every day
The 141kg kerb weight, heaviest in the FZ lineup, is still manageable in city traffic, and the 165mm ground clearance handles broken roads and speed breakers without fuss. Idle start-stop and traction control add genuine everyday usefulness, particularly during monsoon riding when road grip is less predictable. Claimed 51kmpl efficiency holds up at 47-53kmpl in real-world use, reasonable for a 149cc engine carrying this much equipment.
What to know before buying
Only one colour, Matte Titan, is currently offered, a narrower choice than most FZ variants. The TFT's turn-by-turn navigation needs a paired smartphone and data connection to work, so it's a companion feature rather than standalone. Given the price sits near the more powerful XSR 155, buyers should weigh whether they want peak features on a 149cc naked bike or more outright performance on a 155cc sports bike.

Buyers who specifically want the FZ X's upright scrambler stance along with every connected feature Yamaha offers will find this the natural choice. Those cross-shopping purely on power and price should look closely at the XSR 155 first.
