The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.
Chassis hardware includes single-channel ABS, with a disc, 266 mm, 2 piston caliper up front and disc, 240 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.
At 795 mm the seat is average for the class; most riders from 5'5" up will be comfortable at stops.

Verdict
The Gixxer SF takes the standard Gixxer's 155cc engine, wraps it in a full fairing, and asks ₹1,43,272 for the privilege, which puts it uncomfortably close to rivals with far more power. The styling case is strong; the performance case is not.
Riding it every day
The 155cc engine's 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm feel adequate in city traffic, and the 5-speed gearbox shifts cleanly, but the SF is 7kg heavier than the naked Gixxer for identical output, which shows up as slightly duller acceleration off the line. Real-world mileage of 42-47kmpl is a genuine positive, and it is one of the more fuel-efficient options in a segment where 150-200cc rivals often dip into the high 30s or low 40s. Disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS handle emergency stops confidently in city conditions.
What to know before buying
The real problem surfaces the moment a rival is parked alongside it: the Pulsar NS200 costs roughly ₹4,000 less and makes nearly double the power, and the Pulsar N250 and Apache-class rivals tell a similar story. Suzuki has also not fitted dual-channel ABS here, a feature some rivals at this price now offer. Buyers should ride a Pulsar NS200 or Honda Hornet back to back with the SF before deciding, because the power gap is noticeable in real riding.
Who should buy it
This bike suits riders who specifically want the faired sports-bike silhouette, plan to ride mostly within city limits, and trust Suzuki's dealer network more than outright numbers on a spec sheet. Riders chasing performance for the money should look elsewhere first.
