Ferrato FEV 650

The FEV 650 comes in a single variant at ₹1,59,999 ex-showroom Delhi, so there is no trim ladder to climb: every FEV 650 leaves the showroom with the same equipment.

That makes it priced 9th lowest among the 17 electric bikes we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Vader (₹1,575 more) and the EX2 (₹10,000 less).

On the road in Delhi the base FEV 650 comes to ₹1.64 Lakh: ₹1,54,999 ex-showroom, ₹1,500 in Delhi road tax and registration (1%), ₹7,248 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

FEV 650's certified IDC range is 198 km. Owners and our own riding put the real figure between 119 and 135 km, roughly 36% under the brochure number, which is normal for an electric two-wheeler ridden in its faster modes.

Among the 17 electric bikes we have reviewed it ranks 7th for range, 19 km above the group average of 179 km.

The FEV 650's 6.5 kW motor is the 12rd most powerful among the 17 electric scooters here and takes it to a top speed of 95 km/h, comfortable for city and arterial roads.

A full charge from a home socket takes about 5 hours. The battery is fixed, so you need a plug where the scooter parks.

Chassis hardware includes a rear monoshock and a combi-brake system, with a disc, 240 mm, 2 piston caliper up front and disc, 240 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.

Seat height is a low 700 mm, so riders around 5'2" and above can plant both feet at a stop.

On safety kit the FEV 650 has combi-brake (cbs), front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. There is no ABS, which is legal at this engine size but worth knowing before a wet-weather ride.

Against R15S, R15 V4 or EX2, it gets combi-brake (cbs), turn-by-turn navigation, usb charging port and keyless start that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: dual-channel abs, slipper clutch and projector headlamp, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.

It is offered in 3 colours: Red, Blue and Black. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.

Standard warranty is 3 years, unlimited km. The battery is covered separately for 3 years or 30,000 km; read the degradation clause, since most policies only replace a pack that drops below 70% capacity.

Ferrato runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 100 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.

The FEV 650 launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
