Verdict
The V85 TT is Moto Guzzi's current adventure-tourer, priced from ₹16.46 lakh, and it is a far more complete package than the short-lived V85 it replaced. The 853cc air-cooled twin makes 75bhp but pulls with real character, and it now comes with traction control, ride modes, a TFT dash and navigation that put it closer to what riders expect from a modern touring bike at this price.
Riding it every day
At 230kg with a claimed 23.8kmpl, the V85 TT is genuinely usable in daily Indian traffic, better than most big adventure twins on fuel bills, and the 210mm ground clearance shrugs off potholes and speed breakers that would worry a road-biased tourer. The 828mm seat height is the main daily compromise, and pillions get a reasonably wide perch though the ride firms up noticeably two-up over rough surfaces.
What to know before buying
Moto Guzzi's Indian dealer count is still small, so factor in longer waits for anything beyond routine servicing, and confirm the nearest authorised workshop before committing. The upside is a two-year, 60,000km warranty, more generous than some rivals, which should cover most ownership concerns in the early years.
Who should buy it
Someone who wants a distinctive alternative to the usual BMW and Triumph adventure-tourer choices, values character and comfort over outright value, and has a workshop relationship sorted. It is less convincing for a first-time big-bike buyer chasing the lowest running costs.
