Verdict
The G310 RR is the sportiest and best-equipped bike in BMW Motorrad's 313cc family, wrapping the familiar single-cylinder engine in a full fairing with a colour TFT dash and ride modes that the G 310 R does not get. It looks the part next to a 390 Duke or an Apache RR 310, but the 33.5bhp motor cannot match either of those on outright pace.
Riding it every day
Clip-on bars and rearset pegs mean a more committed posture than the naked G 310 R, so city traffic in peak hours will test your wrists faster than a naked bike would. Once out on open roads it settles down nicely, with a claimed 160kmph top speed, the highest in the G310 line-up, and the TFT dash makes it easy to keep an eye on ride mode and trip data. Dual-channel ABS and USD forks handle monsoon braking and broken tarmac confidently.
What to know before buying
As a current model it comes with BMW's standard three-year warranty, but the fairing means a tip-over or a low-speed drop costs more to repair than on a naked bike, so factor that into insurance and parts budgets. Service intervals and costs track other 313cc BMW models, and the dealer network remains concentrated in larger cities.
Who should buy it
