The X440T comes in a single variant at ₹2,86,000 ex-showroom Delhi, so there is no trim ladder to climb: every X440T leaves the showroom with the same equipment.

That makes it priced 15th lowest among the 53 cruisers we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Guerrilla 450 (₹34,937 less) and the SRV 300 (₹43,000 more).

On the road in Delhi the base X440T comes to ₹3.32 Lakh: ₹2,86,000 ex-showroom, ₹24,380 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.5%), ₹21,891 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

X440T's claimed mileage is 30 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 28–30 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Among the 40 cruisers we have reviewed it ranks 10th for mileage, 5 kmpl above the group average of 25 kmpl.

The 440cc oil-cooled engine makes 27.37 bhp and 38 Nm through a 6 Speed. With a kerb weight of 192 kg that is 143 bhp per tonne, 41th best power-to-weight of the 51 bikes in this class we have reviewed.

Torque is high relative to peak power, which is what you want for pulling away with a pillion and riding a gear higher in traffic rather than chasing the redline.

Chassis hardware includes USD front forks, single-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 320 mm, 2 piston caliper up front and disc, 240 mm, 1 piston caliper at the rear.

At 805 mm the seat is average for the class; most riders from 5'5" up will be comfortable at stops.

On safety kit the X440T has single-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control and side-stand engine cut-off. ABS acts on the front wheel only; the rear can still lock under a hard stamp.

Against X440, Guerrilla 450 or SRV 300, it gets single-channel abs, traction control, bluetooth connectivity and ride modes that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: dual-channel abs and hazard lamps, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.

It is offered in 4 colours: Pearl Red, Pearl White, Vivid Black and Pearl Blue. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.

Standard warranty is 5 years or 70,000 km.

Harley-Davidson runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 60 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.

The X440T launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
