The Gixxer SF 250 is the fully-faired flagship of Suzuki's quarter-litre range, priced at ₹1,95,328, and the fairing earns its keep here in a way it does not on the smaller SF: it helps the bike reach a genuine 150kmph, a real jump over the naked Gixxer 250's 130kmph.
Riding it every day
The 249cc, oil-cooled engine makes 26.13bhp and 22.2Nm, plenty for confident highway overtaking, and the 6-speed gearbox is well suited to sustained triple-digit cruising. Real-world mileage of 33-35kmpl is typical for the class, and the dual-channel ABS with a monoshock rear keeps the chassis composed over patchy tarmac and mid-corner bumps, both common on Indian highways. The fully-faired bodywork also does a genuine job of cutting wind blast at speed, which matters on long stretches.
What to know before buying
At 161kg it is the heaviest bike in Suzuki's Gixxer family, and that shows up in slightly slower direction changes in tight city traffic compared with the naked Gixxer 250. Suzuki offers only one variant, so there is no cheaper trim to step into, and the 5,000km service interval adds up over a few years of ownership. Rivals like the KTM 200 Duke and Dominar 250 are worth a back-to-back ride before deciding.

This bike suits riders who want a proper faired 250cc machine for weekend highway runs and occasional touring, and who value top-speed capability and stability over outright agility in traffic.
