Whether that capability is worth nearly double the Rizta's price depends entirely on how much you value outright performance.

Riding it every day

The 7kW motor and 26Nm of torque give the Apex genuinely quick response away from lights, and the 3-piston front caliper offers noticeably more bite than the single-piston setups on cheaper Athers. At 111.6kg it changes direction easily in city traffic, and cruise control plus hill hold are welcome on longer rides. The one area where daily use bites is range: the claimed 165km is optimistic against the 113-129km reported in real-world riding.

What to know before buying

Treat the range gap as the central trade-off of buying an Apex: you get Ather's best brakes and performance, but not proportionally more range than the cheaper 450S.
