VLF Mobster

There is only one Mobster to buy, priced at ₹1,30,000 ex-showroom in Delhi. The only decisions left are colour and whether to finance it.

That makes it priced 25th lowest among the 34 petrol scooters we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the 125 (₹2,678 more) and the SR 175 (₹4,196 less).

On the road in Delhi the base Mobster comes to ₹1.49 Lakh: ₹1,30,000 ex-showroom, ₹11,900 in Delhi road tax and registration (9.2%), ₹7,090 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

Expect 38–43 kmpl from the Mobster in everyday use against a claimed mileage of 46 kmpl. The 12% gap is smaller than most rivals manage.

Among the 30 scooters we have reviewed it ranks 21th for mileage, 1 kmpl below the group average of 47 kmpl.

Power comes from a 125cc single producing 11.93 bhp and 11.7 Nm, paired with a Automatic automatic. At 122 kg the power-to-weight figure is 98 bhp per tonne, which ranks 5 of 32 in its class here.

The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.

Chassis hardware includes single-channel ABS and traction control, with a disc, 230 mm up front and disc, 220 mm at the rear.

At 797 mm the seat is average for the class; most riders from 5'5" up will be comfortable at stops.

On safety kit the Mobster has single-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control and hazard lamps. ABS acts on the front wheel only; the rear can still lock under a hard stamp.

Against S 125, Officina 8 or 125, it gets single-channel abs, rear disc brake, traction control and hazard lamps that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: combi-brake (cbs) and side-stand engine cut-off, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.

It is offered in 4 colours: Ghostlight, Crimson Override, Ash Circuit and Neon Venom. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.

Standard warranty is 4 years or 40,000 km.

Service reach is the weak point: VLF has about 20 dealer and workshop touchpoints across the country. Confirm there is one within reach before you sign.

The Mobster launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
