That makes it priced 85th lowest among the 137 sports bikes we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Tuono 457 (₹27,233 less) and the Crossfire 500 XC (₹34,431 less).

On the road in Delhi the base RS 457 comes to ₹4.93 Lakh: ₹4,31,223 ex-showroom, ₹35,998 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.3%), ₹25,615 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

RS 457's claimed mileage is 24 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 22–25 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Power comes from a 457cc single producing 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm, paired with a 6 Speed. At 175 kg the power-to-weight figure is 268 bhp per tonne, which ranks 51 of 135 in its class here.

The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.

Chassis hardware includes USD front forks, a rear monoshock, single-channel ABS, a slipper clutch and traction control, with a disc, 320 mm, 4-piston caliper up front and disc, 220 mm, 1-piston caliper at the rear.

At 800 mm the seat is average for the class; most riders from 5'5" up will be comfortable at stops.

On safety kit the RS 457 has single-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, tubeless tyres, traction control, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. ABS acts on the front wheel only; the rear can still lock under a hard stamp.

Against Tuono 457, Ninja 500 or RC 390, it gets single-channel abs that most rivals skip.

What it lacks: projector headlamp, usb charging port and dual-channel abs, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.

Standard warranty is 3 years or 36,000 km. After the free services, the recommended interval is every 6,000 km.

Service reach is the weak point: Aprilia has about 150 dealer and workshop touchpoints across the country. Confirm there is one within reach before you sign.

The RS 457 launched in 2026, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
