Range and charging
The S1 is rated at 110 km (certified IDC range). Treat that as a ceiling: real-world figures are usually 15–25% lower.
Motor and ride
The S1's 1.8 kW motor is the 56rd most powerful among the 76 electric scooters here and takes it to a top speed of 58 km/h, which limits it to city use.
A full charge from a home socket takes about 5 hours, and it supports fast charging for a quicker top-up on the road. The battery is removable, so it can be charged indoors if you cannot park near a plug.
Chassis hardware includes single-channel ABS, with a disc, 180 mm, 2 piston caliper up front and drum, 110 mm at the rear.
Seat height is a low 760 mm, so riders around 5'2" and above can plant both feet at a stop.

Verdict
The iVOOMi S1 shows a sub-₹80,000 electric scooter need not feel bare. It brings a long feature sheet, including cruise control, OTA updates and regenerative braking, to a price band usually stripped to essentials, and it does so without feeling like a science project.
Riding it every day
At 84 kg the S1 is light and easy to filter through traffic, and the front disc with E-ABS gives reasonable stopping confidence for a scooter this size. The 58 kmph top speed is enough for city arterials but leaves little margin on flyovers or highway link roads. A claimed 110 km range from a 2.1 kWh pack is optimistic; expect meaningfully less once traffic, load and Indian summer heat are factored in, so plan charging around actual usage rather than the number on the spec sheet.
What to know before buying
The drum rear brake is the clearest compromise here, and it shows on wet roads during monsoon riding where a rear disc would inspire more confidence. iVOOMi's service network is smaller than the established two-wheeler brands, so before buying it is worth confirming a service centre and battery support exists within reasonable distance of home. The battery warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km is a reasonable backstop for the biggest cost item on the bike.
Who should buy it
This is a sensible first electric scooter for someone doing short, predictable city commutes who wants modern conveniences like cruise control and OTA updates without paying for a bigger, pricier electric scooter. Riders who need highway range or two-up comfort as a regular thing should look at a bike with a larger battery and a rear disc brake instead.
