On the road in Delhi the base Versys-X 300 comes to ₹3.94 Lakh: ₹3,49,000 ex-showroom, ₹29,420 in Delhi road tax and registration (8.4%), ₹15,130 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

The 296cc liquid-cooled engine makes 38.8 bhp and 26 Nm through a 6 Speed. With a kerb weight of 175 kg that is 222 bhp per tonne, 19th best power-to-weight of the 29 bikes in this class we have reviewed.

Peak power is high relative to torque, so this engine rewards revs: it feels ordinary below the mid-range and comes alive above it.

Chassis hardware includes dual-channel ABS and a slipper clutch, with a disc, 290 mm, 2 piston caliper up front and disc, 220 mm, 2 piston caliper at the rear.

The 815 mm seat is on the tall side. Riders under 5'6" should sit on one before buying.

On safety kit the Versys-X 300 has dual-channel abs, front disc brake, rear disc brake, side-stand engine cut-off and hazard lamps. Dual-channel ABS is the one item on this list worth paying for if it is variant-dependent.

What it lacks: tubeless tyres, alloy wheels, traction control and usd front forks, which rivals at this price offer. The safety items in that list matter more than the console.

Kawasaki runs a limited sales and service network in India, at roughly 60 touchpoints. Check the nearest workshop before buying if you live outside a metro; a 40 km ride for every service adds up.

The Versys-X 300 launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
