The Rocket 3 exists to answer a question almost nobody asked: what if a cruiser had a 2458cc engine making more torque than most cars. The answer is a genuinely thrilling, thoroughly impractical motorcycle that makes no apology for either quality.
Riding it every day
The 165bhp and 221Nm on tap make overtaking effortless at any speed, and the fully adjustable Showa suspension keeps the 304kg mass composed over rough roads better than the weight figure suggests. That same weight makes tight U-turns and slow-speed parking manoeuvres a genuine workout, and 14.6kmpl mileage means fuel stops are frequent for a bike with an 18-litre tank.
What to know before buying
Triumph's dealer network handles this platform in major Indian cities, though running costs, tyres, and servicing all sit at the premium end given the engine size. This is not a bike to buy on impulse without a test ride, since the weight and power combination genuinely changes how it should be ridden.
