Engine and ride
Power comes from a 124cc single producing 9.97 bhp and 10.33 Nm, paired with a CVT automatic. At 118 kg the power-to-weight figure is 84 bhp per tonne, which ranks 10 of 36 in its class here.
The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.

Verdict
The Storm 125 is a competent, no-frills 125cc scooter that covers the daily commuting basics well, but it sits in an odd spot next to Aprilia's own SR 125, which typically offers slightly better mileage for a similar price. At ₹1.19 lakh onwards it is fairly priced against outside rivals even if it is hard to recommend over its own stablemate.
Riding it every day
The 124.45cc engine's 9.97bhp is enough for city traffic and short highway stretches without feeling strained, and the CBS system with a front disc brake gives reasonable stopping confidence. At 118kg and a 780mm seat height, it is easy to manage in traffic and while parking. Real-world mileage of 34-38kmpl is respectable, though buyers chasing maximum efficiency should note the SR 125 typically does slightly better on the same underpinnings.
What to know before buying
Service intervals are a relatively short 3,000km, and as with all Aprilia scooters in India, check dealer proximity before committing since the network is smaller than mainstream competitors. The rear drum brake and CBS-only setup, rather than a proper ABS system, are worth weighing against rivals like the Ntorq or Burgman Street.
