Destini Prime's claimed mileage is 49.5 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 46–51 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Engine and ride
Power comes from a 125cc single producing 9 bhp and 10.36 Nm, paired with a CVT automatic. At 115 kg the power-to-weight figure is 78 bhp per tonne, which ranks 11 of 25 in its class here.
Torque is high relative to peak power, which is what you want for pulling away with a pillion and riding a gear higher in traffic rather than chasing the redline.
Seat height is a low 778 mm, so riders around 5'2" and above can plant both feet at a stop.

Verdict
The Destini Prime sits oddly close in price to its own sibling, the Destini 110, while offering a bigger 124.6cc engine and a noticeably shorter features list. At ₹77,613 for its only variant, it is a straightforward pitch: buy the extra 1 bhp and torque, skip the projector lamp and alloy wheels.
Riding it every day
The 9 bhp motor gives the Prime a slightly stronger feel off the line than the Destini 110, useful when merging into fast-moving city traffic or carrying a pillion up an incline. The 10-inch wheels and 115 kg kerb weight keep it planted at low speed, though the 155 mm ground clearance means larger speed breakers need a bit more care than on some rivals. Ride quality over Indian road surfaces is generally settled for a scooter this size, helped by the telescopic front fork.
What to know before buying
Hero has kept things basic here: no LED headlamp, no alloy wheels, and a fairly plain digital console. The under-seat storage and USB port are present, which covers daily essentials, but buyers used to the features on the Destini 110 or Pleasure+ Xtec may find the Prime feels a generation behind despite the newer engine.
Who should buy it
