There is only one Officina 8 to buy, priced at ₹1,40,506 ex-showroom in Delhi. The only decisions left are colour and whether to finance it.

That makes it priced 28th lowest among the 34 petrol scooters we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Xoom 160 (₹2,542 more) and the S 125 (₹3,545 less).

On the road in Delhi the base Officina 8 comes to ₹1.62 Lakh: ₹1,40,033 ex-showroom, ₹12,703 in Delhi road tax and registration (9.1%), ₹8,779 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

Officina 8's claimed mileage is 37.5 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 35–39 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Among the 30 scooters we have reviewed it ranks 29th for mileage, 10 kmpl below the group average of 47 kmpl.

Power comes from a 124cc single producing 9.3 bhp and 10.1 Nm, paired with a Automatic automatic. At 115 kg the power-to-weight figure is 81 bhp per tonne, which ranks 15 of 32 in its class here.

The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.

Chassis hardware includes a combi-brake system, with a disc, 200 mm up front and drum, 140 mm at the rear.

Seat height is a low 770 mm, so riders around 5'2" and above can plant both feet at a stop.

On safety kit the Officina 8 has combi-brake (cbs), front disc brake, tubeless tyres and side-stand engine cut-off. There is no ABS, which is legal at this engine size but worth knowing before a wet-weather ride.

Equipment is closely matched with S 125, 125 or Mobster; the differences are in the riding, not the spec sheet.

Service reach is the weak point: Vespa has about 200 dealer and workshop touchpoints across the country. Confirm there is one within reach before you sign.

The Officina 8 launched in 2026, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
