That makes it priced 26th lowest among the 34 petrol scooters we have reviewed. Its closest price rivals are the Mobster (₹2,678 less) and the S 125 (₹4,283 more).

On the road in Delhi the base 125 comes to ₹1.53 Lakh: ₹1,31,797 ex-showroom, ₹12,044 in Delhi road tax and registration (9.1%), ₹8,778 for first-year insurance. Dealers add handling and accessory packs on top; both are negotiable.

125's claimed mileage is 38 kmpl, and unusually, owners and our own riding land right on it: expect 35–40 kmpl in everyday use. Few bikes get this close to their brochure figure.

Among the 30 scooters we have reviewed it ranks 28th for mileage, 9 kmpl below the group average of 47 kmpl.

Power comes from a 124cc single producing 9.3 bhp and 10.1 Nm, paired with a Automatic automatic. At 115 kg the power-to-weight figure is 81 bhp per tonne, which ranks 13 of 32 in its class here.

The torque and power figures are well balanced, so it neither needs to be revved hard nor feels lazy when you do.

Chassis hardware includes a combi-brake system, with a disc, 200 mm up front and drum, 140 mm at the rear.

Seat height is a low 770 mm, so riders around 5'2" and above can plant both feet at a stop.

On safety kit the 125 has combi-brake (cbs), front disc brake, tubeless tyres and side-stand engine cut-off. There is no ABS, which is legal at this engine size but worth knowing before a wet-weather ride.

Equipment is closely matched with S 125, Officina 8 or 150; the differences are in the riding, not the spec sheet.

It is offered in 9 colours: Blue & White, Nero Black, Pearl White, Azzuro Provenza, Rosso Red, Verde Amabile, Grigio Grey - Tech, Blue Energico - Tech and Qala Edition. Colour availability varies by variant and dealer stock.

Standard warranty is 5 years or 60,000 km.

Service reach is the weak point: Vespa has about 200 dealer and workshop touchpoints across the country. Confirm there is one within reach before you sign.

The 125 launched in 2025, so long-term reliability and resale data are still thin. That is not a mark against it, just a reason to prefer the standard warranty and keep service records.
